SATURDAY MORNING ARTICLES

 Friends,

I know each of us gets too many posts and there are millions (or in Trumpian fashion billions) of stories that make us uncomfortable. This is particularly the case on a Saturday morning.

But I wanted to share with you my Big Three for this Saturday morning: one on the Anti-Defamation League and Israel, another on a Cornell professor’s campaign to abolish programs that recognize racism in US history and society (except against whtes), asnd the last  a Congressional campaign to spy on Chinese students studying ast Purdue University.

What ties these stories suggest together are efforts to crush dissent, illuminate serious discourse from higher education , invigorate a New Cold War with China,  and using the tools of money and control of ideas to advance US global hegemony.

The tasks are enormous, but we have to respond to all of these.
